365 Days in Horse Country – ANNOUNCEMENT – Daily Health and Basic First Aid Clinic

It was just the other day that I wrote about partaking in worthwhile clinics in your area!  As it happens, one such clinic just came to my attention.  As promised, it is my pleasure to bring the clinic to your attention such that you might consider availing yourself to all of the knowledge that the clinician is so willing to share.

This particular clinic is being hosted by none other than the well-respected equine guru, Wendy Eagle, of Wellspring Equine Consulting.  Wendy is, without question, the foremost authority on equine health and behavior in the Central Ontario region.  Her depth and breadth of knowledge has contributed to her demand on the lecturing circuit, including that of regular guest lecturer at Equine Guelph, a program of equine studies administered by the University of Guelph's Campbell Centre for the Study of Animal Welfare.

This clinic is a must for all serious horsefolks and novices alike.  It will take place in Innisfil on October 19th and will address such topics as;

  • Assessing health, including weight
  • Vitals - taking and understanding them
  • Medicinal terminology - Know what wou weed to apply (or not) appropriately
  • Equine first aid kits - what they need to contain
  • Boots, leg wraps and tail ties
  • Handing emergency situations safely
  • Dependable references
  • Prevention techniques for disease

For more information about the clinic, or to register, please visit the Wellspring Equine Consulting website at http://www.wellspringequine.ca
